I vividly remember when Debbie, a friend from church, asked me if we carried those really cool bracelets with scripture.  “You know, the ones that sorta twist and have scripture on the inside and outside.  I have the Lord’s Prayer and I’m looking to buy one for a friend.” 

I had no idea what she was talking about. 

Days later, my Regional Community Bible Study director asked me the same thing.  “I’m looking for a Mobius Bracelet for a friend.  Do you carry them?”  I had to confess that I really had no idea what these bracelets were and that we did not carry them.  Well, it didn’t take a genius to come to the conclusion that I needed to figure out what all of the fuss was about.

So what IS so special about these bracelets?  (Men call and ask this all of the time)  I believe that it is not only the scripture that has been cast into the sterling silver or 14 karat gold, but that it is also the elliptical design – the never ending loop… the sign of infinity.  Infinity means eternity… unbounded by space or time; a distance setting, as on a camera, beyond which the entire field is in focus. 

Isn’t that just like our relationship with Jesus Christ?  He is our Lord and Savior – unbounded by space and time; unbounded by this earth and certainly beyond anything that we can ‘clearly’ comprehend.  So you have this precious metal that has been molded to illustrate the infinite nature of our Lord Jesus Christ and how He is ‘bigger’ than anything that we can face in a day AND you have a precious Word from our Lord that has been cast into the metal as a reminder of Who He is. 

Mobius bracelets are very special gifts.  We sell many for the obvious holidays such as Mother’s Day and Christmas, but we also find customers are wishing to give a more ‘meaningful’ gift for Graduation, Ordination, Bridal Showers, and even bereavement.  We had one customer in Hawaii that ordered every design of the bracelet because she was going through a rough spot and wanted that Scripture right there around her wrist.
